ɕ

is yellow

ever mellow?

ɕ

if  you could paint the world yellow

it might make people think

of  hope and love and fun and happiness

all cheerful

but not mellow

ɕ

ɕ

ɕ

bananas are yellow

and bananas can be funny

lemons are yellow

and lemons are sour

but not mellow

ɕ

ɕ

if  your mood ring

turns yellow

it means you’re imaginative

a good thing to be

but not mellow

ɕ

ɕ

ɕ

the Mayans

called yellow  “k’an”

and the symbol

also meant precious or ripe

but not mellow

ɕ

ɕ

ɕ

   ɕ

   ɕ

sunshine

is yellow

close your eyes

and feel the warmth

on your face

   ɕ

   ɕ

maybe…..

yellow is mellow

"Flowers" by Eugene Delacroix

·ƨ·

·ƨ·

·ƨ·

the blush of  pink

softly

washes o’er the garden

as the summer sun is

{{{whispering}}}

her goodbye

and

the night

arrives

late bringing

the moon with

a sprinkling of  stars

finally

wrapping

its arms

gently

across the lands and seas

·♦·ζ· green the eyes of jealousy ·ζ·♦·

green

the eyes of  jealousy

flashing

angrily

when in her heart

it’s pain she feels

rejection

betrayal

“not good enough”

else why       ….why….

would he look to another?

·♦·ζ·♦·

green

the eyes of  jealousy…

her need

to hold him so tightly

out of  fear

and

desperation

knowing

she will lose him

if  she ever

lets go

·♦·ζ·♦·

green

the eyes of  jealousy

spill endless tears

as he leaves

knowing

she is alone

misunderstood

…..unwanted

….unheard

..unloved

again

.◊. singin’ the blues

Luiz Fernando . Sonia Maria {some rights reserved}

comin’ down

down
down
down

fallin’ through a hole in the sky
sky blue sky

down into the depths of  despair
down

in the deep blue sea
blue

as blue can be
can’t you see?

sapphire eyes spark
ling with tears unshed

in the lush blue velvet
of  the night

unseen by any
save for the blue moon

who wept tears
turned blue at the

sound of  her sorrow

for

when she’s feelin’ down
feelin’ blue
only thing to do

is sing the blues

the blues
got hold of  her

down into her very soul

down
down
down

.◊..◊..◊.
blues burning
burning bright
to find
their way out

of  the songbird’s
throat
she’s singin’ the blues
singin’ the blues, baby

to the moon
the blue, blue moon
.◊.

“Kozmic Blues”   Janis Joplin

with a voice so strong
you had to look into her eyes to see
the little girl blue beneath

sorrow and pain hidden deep

…so deep…
only set free
in her songs

“The song ~ I don’t think. Just close my eyes and feel ~ I feel good. It’s really like a fever. It is about a hundred orgasms with someone you love. He lives for that hour on stage. It is full of feelings .. It is a fever, honey …”   Janis Joplin
